Milk that is. Yup, you heard me right, no more dairy for me. I had to take the baby girl to the doctor on Saturday as her poo has not been normal and Friday night there was some blood in her diaper (sorry for the TMI but once you become a mom poop is a normal conversation). Well come to find out she has an anal fissure (slight tear) due to her forceful pooping which is due to somehting I have been eating not agreeing with her. According to the doctor the most likely culprit is the dairy in my diet. For those of you that know me this is not going to be easy, I love my milk and dairy products. I am willing to do whatever it takes to help out my baby girl though.
She has not been running a fever, her temp was actually 97.8 at the dr.'s office and she has been very happy so the doctor doesn't seem to think it is anything to worry about. We just need to figure out what I am eating that she doesn't like. I am really hoping that eliminating the dairy will do the trick I really don't want her to have any intestinal issues. The doctor doesn't seem too worried though. The first thing he said when he looked at her diaper was, "How much dairy are you drinking/eating?" My response was alot to which he replied, "well stop it." Guess I have to listen to the doc. Man this is going to be a long 8 months. :-)

I had to give up tomatos, spaghetti, pizza. AS you probably remember, Tomatoes are my milk!!! It was hard but worth it. Sorry she is having a rough time. Hope the milk solves the problem! ALso, dont apologize for the TMI. WHen you become a mom, poop suddenly becomes a very important and interesting conversation!!
Sorry Mary...but it's all for the cause!! lol
Hope things get to normal soon!!
Good luck Mary! You are strong to give it up. I would've given up breastfeeding instead. LOL
