My beautiful baby girl is here. She was born February 18 at 1:43pm she weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches long. Me and my husband were in love the minute we saw her, okay we were in love with her before she got here but that love just grew by leaps and bounds.
I have been devoting all my time to her so that's why I haven't blogged in a while. It's so hard to believe that she is a month old already. I had to take her to the ped the other day as I suspected she was having issues with reflux, I was right. The ped gave me a prescription for pepcid, which I had to pay for as the insurance company doesn't have her listed yet (long story) and it's expensive stuff. Now that she has been on the med's for a couple days she seems to be doing much better. She is sleeping better, there is less grunting and she is actually spitting up less.
We have now moved her from the bassinet in our room to her own room too. I was so nervous about moving her but it has been great. I am sleeping much better now and am sleeping sounder. We bought the Angelcare sound and movement monitor and it has done wonders for my sanity. We have tested it out and the monitor really does work too. The only time we have gotten false alarms is when we pick her up to change or feed her and forget to turn the monitor off.
Well gotta run, my little angel is ready for her nighttime feed.
